That is right, readers, I have passed the exam to become a Certified Diabetes Educator (CDE). I am sure you all remember (not so fondly) how much I grumbled about having to study. Well, in retropect it was well worth it. All that time spent at the cabin and at Barnes & Noble have paid off. Thank you Todd for putting up with my snippy, stressed-out disposition. As Ky would say, I am now "an expert in Dia-beebees!".

At the end of July I told you that I had left my job at Renown to go into private practice. The day has come when I am officially open for business.

Please let your families and friends know about my blog and the website. Thanks to some sophisticated computer software, I am able to provide distance education. It is nice to offer this service since so many of you would tell me "I really wish you could talk to my mom, but she lives in North Dakota". Now your ma and I can consult on the phone from our bed in our jammies if we want!
